Boosting Your Child’s Self-Esteem Through Creative Expression
Visual arts, crafts, and drama activities allow children to explore their inner selves and their environment. The confidence that comes with self-expression is an essential skill that will help them succeed in all areas of life.
At Alpha Green Preschool, we recognize the importance of creative self-expression. We believe that visual arts, crafts, and drama activities allow children to explore their inner selves and their environment. The confidence that comes with self-expression is an essential skill that will help them succeed in all areas of life.
Our teachers create an environment where children can explore their creativity and discover their passions. Creativity is an essential part of holistic education, acting as a foundation for numerous aspects of learning. This aligns with the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), which is the framework upon which our teachers run the academic program.

Art, crafts, drama, and other creative activities help children develop in a myriad of ways, from their motor skills to their problem-solving abilities. These creative outlets also provide children with a sense of self-expression, helping them better understand their own emotions and the emotions of others.

"Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what is possible." - Maryann F. Kohl
Visual Arts:
Visual arts include a wide range of activities such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and collage making. These activities help children explore their creativity, express their emotions, and develop fine motor skills. According to the Journal of Early Childhood Research, children who participate in visual arts activities demonstrate enhanced cognitive, social, and emotional development. Visual arts encourage children to develop a growth mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.

Crafts:
Craft activities, such as paper cutting, origami, and modeling with clay, help develop a child's creativity, problem-solving skills, and hand-eye coordination. According to the Journal of Education and Practice, craft activities can promote socialization and improve communication skills in preschool children. These activities help children develop a sense of pride and accomplishment in their creations, which can boost their self-esteem and confidence.

Drama:
Drama activities, such as dance, music, and role-playing provide children with opportunities to express themselves and develop their social and emotional skills. According to an article published in Early Child Development and Care, drama activities promote social and emotional development, as well as cognitive development, by encouraging children to think creatively, problem-solve, and work collaboratively. Drama activities also help children develop empathy and perspective-taking skills, which are essential for building healthy relationships and understanding others' perspectives.

At Alpha Green Preschool, we encourage children to express themselves creatively. We help children develop into well-rounded individuals with strong creative and critical thinking skills. With the guidance of our experienced teachers, your child will have the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
